Victoria
A visit to the world’s smallest capital, Victoria, will keep one busy for hours! The Victoria Market, best visited early in the morning, is the perfect place to shop for fresh fruit and vegetables or merely to see some of Seychelles unusual fruits including the water apple and bread fruit. The fresh fish display is also not to be missed with countless species, including shark, laid bare so all can make their selection. For the art and museum lovers a trip to Kenwyn House, the National Library and the Seychelles National Museum is a must as Seychellois art and history is presented for your enjoyment. A variety of endemic plants can be seen at the Botanical Gardens including the Coco de Mer and one of only two cannonball trees in Seychelles.
